Head of California New Car Dealers Association will join NADA on Feb. 1, replacing Brady after period of industry turmoil Auto dealers' association veteran Peter Welch has been named president of the $32 million-revenue National Automobile Dealers Association, effective Feb. 1. Welch has headed the California New Car Dealers Association since 2003 and has managed that group's government affairs since 1990, the McLean, Va.-based NADA said in a statement.
